Improvement
Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics:
1. Approach the ball
2. Contact with ball
3. Follow through with kicking foot
What to Change: The first improvement for both athletes is for them to use either the insides of their foot, the outsides of their foot, or contact the ball with their laces when passing to their partner…they should not use their toes! Another improvement would be for them to both work on balance and position of their bodies with whatever type of pass they do..
Cues: Do not use toes to pass
Inside, outside, or laces only when passing
Find your center of balance
stage: Beginner first both
stage: Beginner
first both players did a toe punch and the proper way is to kick a ball with the inside of your foot.
second both players looked off balance and out of control after they had kicked the ball.
Cue: dont use your toe kick with the inside of the foot.
The Kick
Stage: intermediate
Stage Characteristics: the approch and the kick of the ball is correct but the first one uses just his lower body. The second one does not look like he fully connected with the ball with all his power due to the fact that he was off balance at the end.
What to Change: for the fisrt one is to stand up staight that way you get more power into the kick and the second one is to try and stay more balanced.
Chip Pass
Intermediate
Characteristics: The athletes approach the ball and kick from the base. The second athlete seemed a bit off balance.
Change: The second athlete should focus on his center of balance.
Cue: center of balance
