Improvement
5. Forearm Pass
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics:
1. Hold hands correctly
2. Extends out arms
3. Aims pass
What to Change: One major improvement is that she needs to bend her knees. This will give her body balance and be able to control hitting the ball. She also needs to lift her body up and work on her posture during the hit. By bending her knees and keeping her feet shoulder width apart, she will be able to dive and make more aggressive plays.
Cue: Bend knees
Aim pass
Feet shoulder width apart

What to Change:Needs to have her knees bent more incase the ball dives down she can make an athletic play.
Cue:Work on athletic stance.
Forearm Pass

Cue: move under ball into pass position
PES 294, Skill Analysis
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics: She has her hands in front of her knees with elbows straight and flat and thumbs and wrists together when she makes contact with the ball. She contacts the ball in the proper position on the forearms.
What to Change: She should have ran forward so she could be a good position to get behind and under the ball where she could set her body with feet shoulder width apart.
Cue: "Move to position, Set feet"
Forearm Pass PES 294
Stage: Intermediate.
Stage Charactersitics: Player had general average form, the principles of the pass were understood but not yet mastered. Player had proper grip and average mechanics.
What to change: The player should bend a little more at the knees, and if at all possible set herself to receive the pass instead of walking into it on the move. Also squaring the shoulders up to the ball and little more would help with accuracy.
Cue: Telling this player to Get set, square up, and receive the pass would help her perform the skill at a higher level.
