Improvement

7. Track & Field Block Start
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics:
1. Head is down
2. Decent form
3. Takes off in gradual incline
What to Change: One major improvement would be for him to stay lower. Another improvement would be for him to use both legs to get power from getting off of the block. He kind of leans forward a little too soon but I don’t really see this as a major problem. I would suggest for him to keep working on the starting block in order to improve quickness.
Cue: Stay low
Use both legs
Don’t lean too far forward

Cue: Stay low, or strong start.

Stage:

Stage: Intermediate

Change: Stay lower and do not lean forward to soon.
Cue: Stay relaxed

Stage:

Stage: Intermediate
Characteristic: Over the form is pretty good, good arm drive, head down, take off in a gradual incline (not straight up)
Change: You want to explode off both feet, back foots first contact should be closer to starting line (ideal to be on it)
Coaching Cue: Both feet explode!or Quick Step!

Good Get Off

This is a very good start looks like an expert. The runner at the start gets a good form and he is explosive coming out of his stance he stays low and doesn't come straight up, keeps his head down and takes off. I don't see anything he can change he has great form. I would tell him good job and tell him to keep up with the good work.
