Recommended Skill Analysis Task
Stage: Identify the stage of the skill that is exhibited (e.g. beginner, intermediate, expert).
Stage Characteristics: Describe 2-3 features of the movement on the video that is characteristic of the stage identified.
What to Change: Identify and describe the most important aspect of the skill that will need to be changed for the subject to improve.
Cue: Write the single most important verbal instructional cue to help the performer improve.
Call for Contribution
Comments on individual video clips are encouraged, especially in the form of analysis of the subjects' technique.
Video contributions to this project are also welcomed. Use the contact form to request details on video uploads and participant consent forms.
Purpose
This project has the following primary purposes: (a) to provide video of subjects performing sport skills at varying levels of expertise as a medium for teachers, coaches, and students to practice movement analysis, (b) to provide video demonstration models of sport skills and games for learners, teachers, and coaches, and (c) present a platform for the professional community to contribute video and dialog to more thoroughly accomplish the aforementioned purposes. What to change: Rip the ball through from hip to hip. You can also pivot.

Stage characteristics: Player receives the ball determines a pivot foot pulls the ball in ready to address the situation.
What to change: Watch the ball reception, pull ball in firmly with both hands prior to going into a triple threat position, watch the defender, don’t look down to double check your foot placement
Cue: Firmly control ball before going into triple threat watch defender.

Stage Characteristics: Good balance and good stance
What to change: Need to more enthused with the ball
Cue: Be ready
Triple Threat
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristic: Player shows proper knowledge of triple threat technique. He is in correct stance with knees bent and slightly forward. Has ball in good position on right hip and can pass, dribble, or shoot out of this stance.
What to Change: Needs to make sure stance is balanced and sturdy to be able to dribble, shoot, or pass. Player needs to keep the ball on his hip with firm grip on ball.
Cue: be strong with the ball
Improvement
9. Triple Threat
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics:
1. Legs spread apart
2. Ball in position to either shoot, dribble, or pass
3. Both hands on ball with knees bent
What to Change: Player needs to make sure he grabs the ball/catches pass before going into triple threat. He needs to be balanced and on his toes ready to shoot, dribble, or pass. Thus, he also needs to not bend over so far forward.
Cues: Control of ball
Keep ball out of reach from defense
Be ready to shoot, dribble, or pass
