Recommended Skill Analysis Task
Stage: Identify the stage of the skill that is exhibited (e.g. beginner, intermediate, expert).
Stage Characteristics: Describe 2-3 features of the movement on the video that is characteristic of the stage identified.
What to Change: Identify and describe the most important aspect of the skill that will need to be changed for the subject to improve.
Cue: Write the single most important verbal instructional cue to help the performer improve.
Call for Contribution
Comments on individual video clips are encouraged, especially in the form of analysis of the subjects' technique.
Video contributions to this project are also welcomed. Use the contact form to request details on video uploads and participant consent forms.
Purpose
This project has the following primary purposes: (a) to provide video of subjects performing sport skills at varying levels of expertise as a medium for teachers, coaches, and students to practice movement analysis, (b) to provide video demonstration models of sport skills and games for learners, teachers, and coaches, and (c) present a platform for the professional community to contribute video and dialog to more thoroughly accomplish the aforementioned purposes. PES 294, Skill Analysis
Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics: Does not have proper arm form. Body is very stiff with no leg movement. Player shoots from his chest, using both arms to shoot. There was no wrist action or proper follow through.
What to Change: Arms should be up with shooting arm in an L position. Ball should be balanced on shooting hand, nonshooting hand helping with balance. Knees should bend and force from legs should be used for the shot. Ball should roll off fingers of shooting hand to create a spin and he should wave goodbye to the ball with a good follow through.
Cue: "Arms up" "Elbow in L" "Use Legs" "Wave Goodbye to the Ball"

Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics: Poor form, Shot the ball from his chest.
What to change: Bent the knees, have the ball in the shooting pocket, shoot the ball up.
Cue: Shoot the ball up

Stage Characteristics:
1. Both hands on the ball
2. Brings ball up
3. Releases ball into the air
What to Change: The guy needs to bend his knees. He needs to bring the ball down with his body and up with his body prior to the release. He needs to shoot with one hand and follow through.
