Recommended Skill Analysis Task
Stage: Identify the stage of the skill that is exhibited (e.g. beginner, intermediate, expert).
Stage Characteristics: Describe 2-3 features of the movement on the video that is characteristic of the stage identified.
What to Change: Identify and describe the most important aspect of the skill that will need to be changed for the subject to improve.
Cue: Write the single most important verbal instructional cue to help the performer improve.
Call for Contribution
Comments on individual video clips are encouraged, especially in the form of analysis of the subjects' technique.
Video contributions to this project are also welcomed. Use the contact form to request details on video uploads and participant consent forms.
Purpose
This project has the following primary purposes: (a) to provide video of subjects performing sport skills at varying levels of expertise as a medium for teachers, coaches, and students to practice movement analysis, (b) to provide video demonstration models of sport skills and games for learners, teachers, and coaches, and (c) present a platform for the professional community to contribute video and dialog to more thoroughly accomplish the aforementioned purposes. Stage: Expert
Stage Characteristics: Arms were up and ball was balanced in shooting hand. Elbow in an L. Non shooting hand was up and supporting ball. Players bent knees (except for second shooter) and used legs to shoot. Ball rolled off fingers, good wrist flip and follow through.
What to Change: Second player should bend knees and use legs when shooting.

Stage: Intermediate/expert
Stage characteristics: Each athlete exhibits the proper hand position traits and an ability to follow through on their shots, they roll the ball off their fingers.
What to change: The Oregon Duck shooter leads with his right knee but shoots with his left hand he needs to change his stance to maintain his balance while shooting.
Cue: Right hand right knee, left hand left knee.

Stage Characteristics: Good form, good shooting posture
What to change: Don’t hold the ball above head that long
Cue: Quick release

Stage: Intermediate/Expert
Stage Characteristic: All shooters demonstrate basic knowledge of how to shoot the ball. They are holding the ball correctly and follower through after the ball is shot. They release the ball at the proper time and are balanced with stance.
What to Change: It looks like the shooters just need more practice. When shooting they really need to focus on the follow through and seeing the ball to the hoop.

Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics:
1. Both hands on ball
2. Ball brought up and released with one hand
3. Follow through with shooting hand
What to Change: All players need to work on balance in their shot. They could work on either footwork or bend their knees more on the free throw line. The players should also keep their eyes on the target. Elbows should be out. Players should also follow through after their shot.
Cues: Hand in cookie jar (follow through)
