3117 relay exchange
Stage: beginner
Stage characteristics: On a positive note the baton was able to be passed without the runners falling over each other or the receiving runner having to watch his hand for reception however the runners appeared to be very awkward and incapable of adjusting their speeds to accommodate one another.
What to change: Both runners need to work on cue signs and a smooth fast pace acceleration.
Cue: Synchronized speeds.

Baton Pass

Stage: Intermediate

Stage Characteristic: Slow, unfluid exchange. Runners were at different speeds.

What to Change: Smoother transition.

Cue: "better exchange"

Relay Exchange

Stage: Intermediate

Stage Characteristics: The hand off was good, but not great, person recieving the paton only slows himself down by looking back while running, and the person with the baton needs to communicate to other player where the baton is at.

What to Change: Person recieving hand off needs to not look back when recieving the baton.

Cue: Trust each other.

Stage: Intermediate Stage

Stage: Intermediate

Stage Characteristics: The passer did a good job of keeping up the pace. The receiver did not keep up the pace as much. Instead, he slowed down as he got the handoff.

What to change: Pass off was fairly smooth, but the fast pace must be kept so that time is not lost.

Cue: Keep up the pace.

baton pass

Stage: Beginner

Stage characteristic: The two runners do not keep a good pace during the pass. The passer stumbles due to running up on the reciever to quickly. The Receiver starts off running when the passer enters the go point, he looks back to check the passer and then keeps his head forward as he should. Though the actual pass was fairly smooth it was not from/ to opposite hands as it should be.

Change: For a smoother pass, the two should work on and adjust their speed so that the passer is not stumbling over the reciever.

Cue: adjust speed

relay exchange

Stage: Intermediate

Stage Characteristics:The person recieveing the paton did good by starting to run as the other runner approached but did a bad job by looking back only slowing him down.

What to Change: The person passing the paton needs to exchange it steadily and the reciever needs to just look forward and run faster

Cue: better hand off

Relay Exchange PES 294

Stage: Intermediate

Stage Characteristics: The receiver prepared himself for the passing of the baton by starting to run. He was looking back to receive the baton using the non-visual technique which was incorrect. He should look straight ahead.

What to Change: I would have the receiver pick up his pace, focus on keeping his head forward, give your teamate a big target.

Cue: Open-palm, provide a bigger target.

Relay Exchange-PES 294

Stage: Beginner

Stage Characteristics: The athletes look unsynchronized and the outgoing runner does not get up to speed quickly in the moments before the hand-off causing the incoming runner to have to slow down and the two almost collide.

What to Change: The outgoing runner needs to synch up with the incoming runner for a smoother handoff. Also the outgoing runner's arm should be extended further back to acept the batton.

Cue: Reminding the two to stay in synch and be smooth would be a cue in helping correct the handoff.
