Recommended Skill Analysis Task
Stage: Identify the stage of the skill that is exhibited (e.g. beginner, intermediate, expert).
Stage Characteristics: Describe 2-3 features of the movement on the video that is characteristic of the stage identified.
What to Change: Identify and describe the most important aspect of the skill that will need to be changed for the subject to improve.
Cue: Write the single most important verbal instructional cue to help the performer improve.
Call for Contribution
Comments on individual video clips are encouraged, especially in the form of analysis of the subjects' technique.
Video contributions to this project are also welcomed. Use the contact form to request details on video uploads and participant consent forms.
Purpose
This project has the following primary purposes: (a) to provide video of subjects performing sport skills at varying levels of expertise as a medium for teachers, coaches, and students to practice movement analysis, (b) to provide video demonstration models of sport skills and games for learners, teachers, and coaches, and (c) present a platform for the professional community to contribute video and dialog to more thoroughly accomplish the aforementioned purposes. Stage Characteristics: Looks like the majority of the power is being generated with the upper body, not the lower body. The legs and hips should initiate the beginning of the throw.
What to Change: Begin to work on the foot work of the spin; remember that the force is primarily generated by the lower body; hips, legs, and trunk.

3110 discus turn footwork
Stage: intermediate
Stage characteristics: the thrower has consistant and steady movement however his eyes are too focused on his the ground and his feet and lacks some control on his final step.
What to change: Plant your foot at the end his foot movement should become natural allowing his more opportunity to focus on discus placement.
Cue: A more solid foot plant at the end.
Discus Turn Footwork
Stage: Expert.
Stage Characteristics: Thrower keeps his balance throughout the whole throw. Does not go out side the circle and has really good footwork.
What to Change: Make sure not to step out at the end of the hop and just sit and plant the feet.
Cue: Explosivness

Stage Characteristics: The left foot begins the rotation, which allows the arm to hold on for a second so the body can first whip around, followed by the arm.
What to Change:
1. Needs to glide across ring; there is too much "hop".
2. Feet should not move after being planted for the throw.
Cue: Slow down and try to get the rotation and glide to be smooth.

Stage Characteristics: The thrower’s footwork is steady and fluid. He stays close to the center of the circle. He also stays inside the circle
What to change: He could possibly put more power into the throw.

Stage Characteristcs: He has great foot movement, he's feet stay very close to the centerline, his upper body looks very relaxed. I can't find anything wrong with his foot work or throw.
