Recommended Skill Analysis Task
Stage: Identify the stage of the skill that is exhibited (e.g. beginner, intermediate, expert).
Stage Characteristics: Describe 2-3 features of the movement on the video that is characteristic of the stage identified.
What to Change: Identify and describe the most important aspect of the skill that will need to be changed for the subject to improve.
Cue: Write the single most important verbal instructional cue to help the performer improve.
Call for Contribution
Comments on individual video clips are encouraged, especially in the form of analysis of the subjects' technique.
Video contributions to this project are also welcomed. Use the contact form to request details on video uploads and participant consent forms.
Purpose
This project has the following primary purposes: (a) to provide video of subjects performing sport skills at varying levels of expertise as a medium for teachers, coaches, and students to practice movement analysis, (b) to provide video demonstration models of sport skills and games for learners, teachers, and coaches, and (c) present a platform for the professional community to contribute video and dialog to more thoroughly accomplish the aforementioned purposes. Improvement
9. Triple Jump
Stage: Intermediate
Stage Characteristics:
1. Runs to jumping line
2. Hop, step, and jumps
3. Lands in pit
What to Change: The athlete needs more power and balance. She should have a set number of steps when approach the jumping line. She should run at full speed, no stutter stepping. She should use more power from her legs and swing her upper body forward to add distance and power.
Cue: Have steps down

Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics: She struggles with take off and landing and lacks balance and power.
Change: She should focus on maintaining balance and swinging arms for power.

Stage Characteristics: Hop, Skip, and jump
What to change: Her speed on the runway
Cue: Run harder, don’t stutter step
Triple jump
Stage: Beginner/Intermediate
Stage Characteristics: The athlete has the sequence and the moves down however she seems to be attempting the hang flight style. To achieve this more the athlete should swing arms in more of a full circle and bring the knees up and more out in front of her. Athlete lands the jump successfully.
Change: The athlete should attempt to swing arms more for more power forward.
Cue: Swing arms
Triple Jump- PES 294
Stage:Beginner\Intermediate.
Stage Characteristics: Athlete landed on same foot she jumped with in hop stage, shoulders were not low however. Knees could have been higher on approach. Arms and takeoff knee should be a little higher on jump.
What to change: Higher knees in sprint toward hop point. Lower shoulders and higher knee and arms in preparation for final jump.
Cue: "high knees" "low shoulders".
