Recommended Skill Analysis Task
Stage: Identify the stage of the skill that is exhibited (e.g. beginner, intermediate, expert).
Stage Characteristics: Describe 2-3 features of the movement on the video that is characteristic of the stage identified.
What to Change: Identify and describe the most important aspect of the skill that will need to be changed for the subject to improve.
Cue: Write the single most important verbal instructional cue to help the performer improve.
Call for Contribution
Comments on individual video clips are encouraged, especially in the form of analysis of the subjects' technique.
Video contributions to this project are also welcomed. Use the contact form to request details on video uploads and participant consent forms.
Purpose
This project has the following primary purposes: (a) to provide video of subjects performing sport skills at varying levels of expertise as a medium for teachers, coaches, and students to practice movement analysis, (b) to provide video demonstration models of sport skills and games for learners, teachers, and coaches, and (c) present a platform for the professional community to contribute video and dialog to more thoroughly accomplish the aforementioned purposes. Stage: expert
Stage characteristics: Player maintains visual and correct formation when receiving with the chest. She absorbs the ball dropping it within easy reach.
What to change: the player needs more enthusiasm as well as more follow through on the pass and should maintain slightly more control on ball placement.

Stage Characteristics: Comfort the ball off the chest; receive the ball in a ready position
What to change: Don’t push chest up at the ball, bend a bit more at the base position
Cue: Let the ball come to you.

Stage characteristics:the player absorbes the ball with her chest to knock it down and set up for a pass or shot.
She keeps her eye on the ball the whole time like when it is passed to her and when she passes it.
What to change:the player could absorb the ball better to get it to her feet faster to pass it.
Cue:Work on receiving the ball more smoothly

Stage: Expert
Stage Characteristics: Player does a great job of receiving the ball. She leans back with the ball and turns so that the ball comes to her left leg, looks as though she wanted to place it there.
What to change:Be more prepared for the ball to come and set yourself up, and be quicker.
Cue:Be quicker and prepare for the ball.

Stage Characteristic: The athlete leans back when receiving the ball, rather than staying forward and meeting the ball. The player does gain control and get the pass of effectively.
Change: Stay forward when receiving the ball in order to keep the ball in front of you.

Stage Characteristics: Didn't keep the ball in front, it went to the left side.
What to Change: Keep the more directly in front of the body to allow for an easier, more controlled pass.

Stage: Expert.
Stage Characteristics: Player exhibited good form in receiving ball so she not only received the pass but retained the ball as well.
What to change: This player executed the reception of the chest pass very nicely.
Cue: Helpful cues for the reception of the chest pass would be reminding players to keep their chests out and hands down.
