1st BowlerStage:
1st Bowler
Stage: Beginner-Intermediate
Stage Characteristics: He has good technique but has no run-up (start with small steps, then longer strides) and his non-bolwing arm does not raise up and then pull through, creating the momentum it should. Also, his back foot shoud either be parallel to the target or straight on, not pointed diagonally.
What to Change: Raise your non-bowling arm straight up, then pull through creating momentum.
Cue: Pull your non-bowling arm through like a windmill.
2nd Bowler
Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics: No run in, non-bowling arm is not really used in action, bowling arm rotates to the side. Seems like his focus is on keeping his elbow straight (good).
What to Change: Focus on movement of both arms like a windmill
Cue: Rotate arms like a windmill

Bowl
Stage: Beginner/ intermediate
Stage characteristic:
Looks like they are doing the stand still approach mainly practicing the arm movements
The arm movements on the first throw should remain straighter in the beginning
The arm movement on the second throw does remain straight and circles high over the shoulder like it should
what to change:
keep arm extended throughout the throw
Cue for change:
extend
Analysis
Stage: Beginner
Stage Characteristics: This is a beginner level exercise because the teacher breaks down the bowling movements down to just the throw. A skill within a skill. However, for a beginner this can be very helpful. The learner needs to know the body positions and practice the movements before doing the whole run up to the bowl. It is understood that some learners won't need to have a skill broken down to such a basic level but in the US where Cricket is rarely practiced it is very likely that very basic skills would need to be learned.
What to Change: Follow through. In Cricket there is a huge need to follow through on ones bowl. It could have been useful to a the last hop after the run up and before the bowl. The non-bowling arm should be used for balance and to gain momentum when bowling. Nobody is worried about the speed or accuracy at this level so have the students exaggerate some of the movements so that when it comes to actual bowling they will do all right.
Cues: Tell the learners to hop then follow through
cricket bowl
Stage : Beginner
Characteristics: Stiff movements, lack of much of a approach. Also needs a much more powerful follow through to ensure speed on delivery.
What to change: approach and follow through need to be taught and practiced.
cues. steps, approach, deliver, follow through.
